Some helpful additions to player stats
One stat that is very much lacking is vehicle kills. I take much more pride in killing a tank or a dropship because they require powerful weapons, and It causes much more of a loss than a dropsuit (many which are millita or cheep).
So for each vehicle category, LAV, HAV, Dropship, list the total number of kills. due to the number of variables it can be a totally new tab seperate from kills and KDR, and WP. Building on that would also be number of losses for each category.
Isk efficiency, or ratio of isk lost to destroyed; is good stat to have too, along with total isk destroyed, and lost. It is a much truer measure of skill and destructive power that doesn't discriminate against high risk professions, or people who go millita and don't care about dieing to get a juicy kill. It will be a stat that will be used for much gloating and a measure of success much like eve online.
Also, average warpoint gain per min (because matches are of variable time limit depending on when joined or type) is a important stat to have. Total warpoints is a gauge of how much or long a person has played. Not a true measure of how good they are in any given battle.
Possibly the career stats that measure efficiency should have a separate category of total throughout a career, and of the last week. Being that in early stages a person is much worse than they are when they understand the game.
To help with making a real matchmaking, and a ultimate gauge of skill. Players should be ranked kind of like starcraft, and world of tanks, in both a number of rank and a general category. Not sure what should measure it but could be a combination of all the previous category, and or based on who they kill or kill by, killing a person equal or higher rank than you bumps you up a spot, and knocks they down one, and vice versia, deing to a person equal or lower rank knocks you down one. By having a ranking like starcraft will be the best gauge of who are the most powerful merc, unskewed from cowardly behavior or sometimes slowmatches, and pub stomping (because anyone can murder pubs), in clan wars people will not shy from having kill death ratio and isk efficeny drop compared to pub stomps because killing equal or higher ranking people is the only way to get up on the universal ranks, so you will seek to face more dangerous opponents and not shy away.
Like starcraft or WOT a general grade can be given to players platinum (10% of 1%), Gold (top 1%), silver (top 10%), Bronze (top 25%), and copper (Top 50% or better than 50% of people), Below that could be rust or dust rank. This should be shown in a column along with other stats (maybe color code names to save space) before each match could be a medal or a color coded number (the number being what they are on the total rank) |
